By registering as a vendor or user on Newsly E-books Kenya, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you should not register or use this platform.
Platform Overview
Newsly E-books Kenya is a digital platform that allows vendors to upload, market, and sell their eBooks to readers across Kenya and beyond. Vendors receive payouts for their sales on the last day of each month, based on their total cleared transactions.
Vendor Registration and Information
As a vendor, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, including your payout details (e.g., M-Pesa or bank account information). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities that take place under it.
Payouts
- Payouts are processed monthly, on the last day of the month.
- Only cleared and confirmed sales are eligible for payout.
- Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their payout details are accurate and up to date.
- Newsly E-books Kenya shall not be held liable for delays caused by inaccurate payout information provided by the vendor.
Content Ownership and Responsibility
Vendors retain ownership of the eBooks they upload but grant Newsly E-books Kenya a license to host, distribute, and make the content available for sale on the platform. Vendors are fully responsible for ensuring that their content does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights.
User Conduct
Both vendors and buyers agree not to use Newsly E-books Kenya for any unlawful or prohibited purposes. This includes uploading harmful, offensive, or plagiarized content, engaging in fraud, or interfering with the security and proper functioning of the platform.
Intellectual Property
All platform content — including but not limited to the website design, graphics, and software — is the property of Newsly E-books Kenya or its content providers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
Newsly E-books Kenya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to delays in payouts, loss of profits, or data loss.
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Newsly E-books Kenya at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to payout schedules, fees, or platform functionality.
Termination
Newsly E-books Kenya reserves the right to suspend or terminate vendor or user accounts at its sole discretion, without notice, if any activities are found to violate these Terms and Conditions or are harmful to other users or the platform.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kenya.
